PRESS RELEASE

Gross Human rights violation by Terror regime in Ethiopia is taking place in Ogaden

Ethiopian Regime has recently staged a campaign of indiscriminate killings of innocent civilians and looting their properties. After Ethiopian occupation army has suffered heavy loses in the battle field in the confrontation with the Ogaden National Liberation Army the EPRDF Regime has intensified its policy of genocide in Ogaden.

In order to execute this infamous genocide policy the adamant dictatorial regime in Addis Ababa has massed in Ogaden tens of thousand troops, mainly of Tigray ethnic. These ruthless army has imposed state of emergency and 24 hours curfew on towns and villages in Ogaden. They are looting and killing with impunity innocent people. As result, the people in towns desperately fled to the country side to seek refuge. They burned several villages, where the residents of those villages are left homeless and destitute. These troops with the estimate of 40% carriers of deadly HIV disease are sexually assaulting innocent women in Ogaden. This is part of Ethiopian policy of callously exterminate Ogaden people. These atrocities are taking place in broad daylight and with the knowledge of international community.

Based on its policy and objectives Ogaden Youth Forum has vigorously condemned the inhumane policy of Ethiopia towards innocent Ogaden people. Ogaden Youth Forum promises to stand firmly with the Ogaden people in their resistance to the Ethiopian genocide policy and will support the on going liberation struggle.

Ogaden Youth Forum also calls on the courageous Ogaden people to muster their efforts in the confrontation of the terror regime of EPRDF and its genocide policy.

Ogaden Youth Forum would like to call on the attention of international peace loving community to come for the help of the innocent people of Ogaden people like they do in many similar issues of the globe; and carry out their humanitarian obligation to put pressure on Ethiopian regime to stop mass killings and ethnic cleansing in Ogaden.
